This place here is a well kept secret. A little dark on the inside but a cozy atmosphere. I ordered the bowl of tortilla soup and it was the best bowl of soup I've ever had!
I highly recommend this joint.
The service was great! -

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. Sheldon made me laugh but my dad insisted we go give Marcus a shot.
We had a big group and the waitresses did a great job dealing with us on top of the jam packed facility. Got a margarita with my mom but it tasted freezer burned. I'm not sure how?? Maybe the ice? I didn't care because of the price but I switched to corona after that. My dad got the tacos and they were delicious. My shrimp enchiladas unfortunately tasted freezer burned as well. I mostly just scarfed down the house made tortillas. I would come back definitely for the tortillas.
As far as facilities, the bathrooms were a 3/5 due to odor and trash and the facility is a 2/5, mainly from the ceiling and vents. Throughout the dining area--they a huge health code risk. Hoping they can work on that because it's something I look at in every facility.
Cool mariachi music for birthdays and overall a decent experience! Get the tortillas!!! -

It's been quite a while since we've been to Kiko's. We used to make it every 2-3 months years ago, but one bad experience (after the restaurant was handed down to present ownership) that made us stay away for a few years. We always enjoyed the fajitas as always tender and flavorful among other items on the menu. That bad experience mentioned has faded in our memories enough that my wife was craving a trip to Kiko's.
The food isn't over-spiced. Some people complain in it being bland. Well, I ordered charro beans with my Kiko's Special and they weren't over-salted. Most places make them so salty that someone with blood pressure issues should stay far away from them. I was able to eat these with no problem. The fajita meat was on point...tender. The enchilada wasn't buried in cheese. JUST enough to allow the flavors to come through.
The place was packed when we arrived at 8:30 and we had to wait for about 30 minutes to get seated, but they didn't rush us at all as we were approaching closing time. Our waiter was Javier and he was extremely efficient, helpful and attentive. He's definitely a great asset to the business.
Our food was delicious, no leftovers to be had. Service was great. The wait was a little disappointing, but they were slammed so whatayagonnado? Our bad experience/visit in the past has been vindicated. Yum. -

This place is consistent. Consistently garbage.
Food - garbage.
Management - garbage.
Wait staff - inept and apathetic.
For some reason, this is Corpus' premier Tex-Mex dining establishment. Given that it is practically its only Tex-Mex restaurant (Chuy's and On the Border do not count), that's probably why. -

My experience at Kiko's was okay. The hostess started us out with some serious attitude but the server definitely redeemed them. Our server was kind, helpful, and extremely enthusiastic! The food, was alright. It wasn't anything crazy or amazing but it was solid. I read reviews about how the refried beans looked like they were sitting out/old but ours looked fine! My guess is that those people were served microwaved meals, beans tend to look a little odd when they're blasted in the microwave. Needless to say, Kiko's is a solid tex-mex restaurant but it isn't anything to rave about. The taco beef was very dry and burnt. But the cheese enchiladas with queso on top was good! The flour tortillas were the best part of Kiko's. I believe they were in-house made and fresh.
